Why El Zanaty

The firm has long experience in conducting KAP Surveys at the national level. The KAP surveys conducted by the firm were in different areas; health, environment, and water resources and agriculture. Among these surveys was the Baseline KAP of Egyptian Farmers towards Water Resources in 1998. Recently the firm gained intensive experience in quality of care managements through conducting the national services provision assessment survey.
The firm has also gained an experience in conducting qualitative studies. The qualitative methods that were used by the firm include; in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, participatory rapid appraisal (PRA) technique and participant observation. In addition, in many of the quantitative studies conducted by El-Zanaty & Associates , qualitative methods were included to complement and support the quantitative data.

Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening Project

El-Zanaty & associates carried out Impact evaluation Survey on behalf of ABT on sample of 2110 farmers in 8 governorates in Lower Egypt?, The project directly contributes to USAID/Egypt’s Development Objective “a more competitive and inclusive Egyptian economy through growth in selected sectors, and to the sub-purpose “increased agriculture-related incomes of smallholder farmers”. The ERAS project aims to strengthen Egypt’s market system by identifying specific buyers’ actual needs using a buyer-led approach. This methodology builds long-term commercial relationships based on trust and incentives to improve market efficiency, meet market demand, and increase small farmer incomes.

DEVELOPMENT OF A FRAMEWORK ON THE TRANSFORMATION OF YOUTH CENTERS INTO INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY CENTERS 2021

Been carried out by El-Zanaty & associates in 6 governorates, the main purpose of the assignment is to support the MoYS in their vision to transform the existing Youth Centers into inclusive Community Centers via developing a comprehensive transformation framework.
The assignment, carried out by El-Zanaty & Associates across six governorates, aimed to support the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) in their vision to transform existing Youth Centers into inclusive Community Centers. The main purpose of the assignment was to develop a comprehensive transformation framework, designed to enhance the centers' capacity to serve diverse community needs and promote inclusive participation, thereby aligning with the broader goals of social cohesion and empowerment.


Egyptian Family Health Survey (EFHS) Egypt.

In 2021 El-Zanaty & associates supported Egyptian Family Health Survey (EFHS) which carried out by the CAPMAS, on sample of 34240 HH. The EFHS is the largest national survey in Egypt and considered a continuation to the series of EDHS surveys in Egypt. The primary objective of this survey was to collect data for providing accurate information on levels and trends in fertility, family planning use, infant and child mortality, and maternal and child health indicators. This assignment included: Prepare sample frame, Select the PSUs for the EFHS 2021 survey. Pretest the questionnaires for the main survey. The 2021 EFHS obtained current estimates of key indicators needed to measure progress toward the achievement of the goals in population and health sector.

IMPACT EVALUATION SURVEY FOR KARAMA & TAKAFULL PROGRAM IN EGYPT

The "Second Round Survey 2021" was conducted by El-Zanaty & Associates on behalf of IFPRI, involving a sample of 6,500 households across 25 governorates in Egypt. The primary objective of El-Zanaty's assignment was to assist IFPRI in the second round evaluation (IE) of the Takaful and Karama Program (TKP) to assess changes in beneficiary welfare, health, nutrition, and other key outcomes attributable to the intervention. El-Zanaty's responsibility was focused on conducting high-quality data collection for the second round evaluation survey, ensuring accurate and reliable data to measure the program's impact on the targeted communities.


NEED ASSESSMENT FOR INFORMAL MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN EGYPT 2021

The survey was conducted by El-Zanaty & Associates on behalf of GIZ, involving a sample of 350 respondents, including 250 firms and 100 farmers. The primary purpose of the study was to investigate the driving factors behind informality in Egypt and identify strategies for GIZ to adapt its approach to better serve informal enterprises. The findings aimed to provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by informal businesses and offer recommendations for enhancing support and integration into the formal economy.

YOUTH PROFILE IN EGYPT 2021

Literature review and secondary data analysis been conducted by El-Zanaty & Associates on behalf of UNICEF, the main purpose of this assignment is to support the development and operationalization of GenU in Egypt. The Government of Egypt, with the support if the United Nations un-Egypt, will bring together a GenU partners group contributing to the youth agenda – including the multilateral and the UN, private sector, civil society, and young people themselves- to implement the initiative through a coordinated approach with clear accountabilities, building on existing efforts around education and skills, entrepreneurship, employment and empowerment of young people.


COVID-19 RAPID ASSESSMENT FOR RCCR

  • May-2020

A national survey, conducted by El-Zanaty & Associates on behalf of the Ministry of Health (MOH), took place from May 2020 to July 2020, involving a sample of 10,000 respondents. The primary objective of the rapid assessment was to gather information on the Egyptian population's knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions related to COVID-19, using a nationally representative sample. The survey was specifically designed to support risk communication and community engagement efforts in response to COVID-19. It aimed to assist in the implementation and monitoring of the communications plan to effectively engage with the public and promote awareness of preventive measures.

IMPACT OF COVID19 ON GENDER ROLES AND VIOLENCE IN EGYPT

A Further Analysis took place on behalf of UN-Women on quantitative data collected from 9 countries (Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, and Yemen) on sample of 1000 from each country (around 9000 respondents), the main purpose was to document the impact of COVID19 on men’s and women’s attitudes and practices related to gender equality and violence against women. And the extent of their participation in household chores since the start of the Corona pandemic, in addition to the extent of the respondents' feel of safety at home, as well as the extent of the respondents ’concern about financial conditions and the impact of income resulting from the spread of the Corona epidemic.
